Baby Shower Party Idea

I was planning my aunt's baby shower party idea and found out that she was decorating the baby’s nursery with the theme of Sweet Dreams Little Prince. So I decided to base her shower around that theme.
I ordered invitations that said Sweet Dreams Little Prince with a little crown on them.
My decorations were handmade. On the computer I designed a paper mobile with the words: Sweet Dreams with clouds, moon and stars hanging over a prince's crown.
For the favors I bought votive candles and placed them in cellophane bags. I attached handmade labels that said Sweet Dreams Little Prince, my aunt's name and the date of the shower.
A fun baby shower party idea was playing baby shower bingo. Keeping with the theme of the shower I made up several baby bingo cards that said "The Man of the Moon says Jacob (the baby’s name) will be coming soon!" I know that this game is not very original but it's always a great game for big showers. It keeps everyone's attention on the mom to be as she is opening her gifts.
For desserts I made moon and star shaped sugar cookies and a two layer cake.
I based the cake around the paper mobile decoration I had made. On the top of the cake a baby was snuggled underneath a blanket. I put a moon, stars and clouds on candy sticks over the baby. I placed the words Sweet Dreams on the cake.
Instead of a guest book I handed each guest a square of decorative paper and asked them to write words of wisdom. At the end of the shower I collected the cards and put them into a baby book.
The baby shower party idea turned out to be a success and everyone had a great time including the mom to be.
